The final leg of the office supply delivery chain, from the delivery truck to the end user, is costly and cumbersome. Learn how one company implemented an automated dispensing system to solve the last-mile dilemma. By installing point-of-use cabinets, they successfully streamlined the last mile, reducing costs, lowering consumption, improving the accounting process, and boosting employee satisfaction. Learn how the solution to supply chain management leaps beyond previous systems and squeezes considerable cost out of the last mile of office supply distribution.

Ms. Swetnick is a senior level buyer for Purchasing Services at Solar Turbines, in San Diego. She is the project manager for the Automated Supply Cabinet program for Office Supplies and implemented the first company wide installation for Supply Pro cabinets in the U.S. The project has exceeded the initial target goals, reducing spending for Office Supplies by 54% after the cost of the cabinets, while handling 70% of the office supply requirements.

Ms. Swetnick is a Certified Purchasing Manager and a member of the National Association of Purchasing Management. She has a BA from SUNY at Potsdam and has completed her MBA course work at CW Post College in NY and at George Washington University in Washington, DC

Members only need to reserve by Monday noon (9/11), Members reserved from Tuesday (9/12) on pay a premium of $5.00. Walk-in members pay a premium of $10.00.  Affiliate Members, Non-Members and Guests of members all $30.00 payable at registration ($, check or c.c.). To cancel call before 5:00 P.M. Wednesday (9/13) No shows are billed $10.00!

Be sure to pick up your parking validation at the Registration Table. If you don't parking is $3.00
