Have You Paid Your Dues This Year??

Most of you have and we thank you for your promptness because it saves the nuisance of having to drop a member from the roster one day and then having to reinstate that same member a day or two later. Which in itself is not difficult for us to do. BUT if we have to drop a member from the ISM (National) roster, it becomes an entirely different story.

Once a member is deleted from ISM’s database they have a clock that starts that will automatically charge the affiliate $37.50 should that member be reinstated within 180 days of the day the person was dropped. We cannot contend this charge and always have to pay it, so we simply pass it on to the individual involved. Not a happy prospect and a real incentive to pay your annual dues as quickly as you can.

Since all Orange County members are billed in synch with the fiscal year July 1 through June 30, we send an email to all those with email addresses in the April/May window advising that they can remit directly at our website (HERE) or call our office at (714) 524-6276 with a credit card number. This email notification can easily be printed and serve as a hard copy invoice for those systems that require the documentation. And for those who need a more formal bill, members are encouraged to call the office and request an invoice be either faxed or mailed to the address they prefer. Based on this we hope most will respond by the due date, which is June 1st of any given year, because those who haven’t responded by that time are subject to being dropped anytime after June 30th, the last day of the fiscal year.

This year, for those who we had not heard from, we divided the number and asked that each Director call the tardy member and remind them that their membership had expired. Naturally, many members have voice mail answering machines so the feedback has been spotty at best. So if you know your dues have not been paid and you have not responded to a Director’s call, PLEASE let us know your intentions regarding your membership. Even if you want/need to be dropped, we really need to know what your pleasure is, so call us and leave a voice mail message or email us at info@napmoc.org. It will be greatly appreciated and may well save you $37.50!
