The e-Procurement Story"

Director of eProcurement for Universal Studios
Ted
will discuss Universal’s motivation for building a full-cycle
eProcurement solution, the project management strategy utilized,
the selection methodology for the technology vendor and how Universal
plans to achieve its eProcurement strategy goals. The evening
will wrap up with Universal’s “Lessons Learned” and a Question
and Answer session.
Ted’s
professional career includes work as Commercial Trade Officer
for the US Department of Commerce, U.S. and Foreign Commercial
Service, Brentwood California. Before joining Universal he was
Chief Operating Officer and majority owner of an export management
and consulting company focused on development work with Southeast
Asian and South American aid agencies such as the United Nations
Development Programme, US AID, the Aga Khan Foundation and Bristish
AID. He has also consulted with American companies on purchasing
management, export procedures, eProcurement technology utilization,
etc. In the spring of 2000, he sold the company to Indian business
partners based in New Delhi. Presently, he is the Director of
eProcurement for Universal Studios. In this capacity his job is
to review, recommend, define, design, develop and deploy an eProcurement
solution for Universal Studios Group.
