We are pleased to introduce to you Jo Ann A. Malone as our Guest Speaker for this month's Dinner Meeting Presentation. Jo Ann has been invited back to speak at NAPM-OC for an unprecedented third time. Her topic this evening is "Thinking Strategically About Your Career".

Jo Ann has over 20 years experience as a Strategic Business Partner and strong Human Resource Generalist. She has a Masters Degree in Business from Case Western Reserve University in Cleveland, Ohio and an Undergraduate Business Degree from John Carroll University. Jo Ann's experience has been with major corporations i.e. Siemens Energy and Automation, Corning Inc, and Southern California Edison as well as small to mid-size companies including Bird Technologies Group and Veeco Instruments. Her areas of expertise in manufacturing and High Tech span from mergers, acquisitions and divestitures to business start-ups, leadership and organizational development, training partnerships, talent acquisitions as well as change management.

Being a skilled facilitator, Jo Ann has lead senior management in developing new directions for the business, as well as successfully integrating Human Resource practices to align with business objectives in field and corporate settings. She has positively affected companies' organizational effectiveness by leading turnaround situations and innovation in applying concepts for entrepreneurial and rapidly changing environments.

Jo Ann has been a coach and mentor to many of her subordinates, peers as well as management. She gets her energy from helping others and seeing them succeed. In addition to coaching and mentoring, Jo Ann has started her own consulting business, "Human Resources By Design", and has volunteered her time to "Working Wardrobes", an organization that helps women to re-enter the workforce. To help keep the Work-Life-Balance, Jo Ann does Adult Tap and Ballroom Dancing as well as Pilates. Jo Ann has 2 sons, Wayne, Director of Marketing for Fed-Ex and Tony, an entrepreneur and President of his own company, Custom Athletics, Inc.
