Thanksgiving Approaching -

It's already November, summer has passed, daylight savings is gone, and Halloween decorations have been put away until next year.

Soon enough, it will be Thanksgiving. I hope this column finds you well as the holidays approach. I hope you're having a good year in your endeavors and are happy and healthy. We all have much to be thankful for.

As you wind down the year, consider taking a moment and taking inventory of yourself, your performance, your department, your company, and your life.

Are you where you want to be? Have you accomplished what you set out to accomplish? What did you miss out on and why?

And what is next? What do you want to do? What do you need to do to get there?

How about your career development? What do you need to focus on to achieve your career goals?

I'm happy to report NAPM-OC has achieved several goals fiscal year to date. And we intend to pick up speed and accomplish many more before years end. So far, we've introduced our new badges, signed a new lease for our NAPM office, signed a new deal with the Hilton Airport Hotel for our dinner meetings, (which will now be synchronous with our fiscal year,), staged a successful golf tournament allowing us to continue to expand our C.P.M. test reimbursement program, started a Marketing campaign to attract and retain members, put effort into achieving the national ISM Affiliate of the Year award, and responded to your input and ideas.

We intend to finish off this year strongly, and pick right up where we left off after the holidays next year.
