the Presenter:
Susan
Gerke is the president of Gerke Consulting & Development
and is in business to "help people work better, together."
Susan is in her sixth year of business following 21 years
working for IBM. She was a manager for IBM as well as a
technical support representative and a management and leadership
development professional.
Susan's
focus during the past fourteen years has been in designing,
customizing and implementing leadership and teamwork programs
meeting the needs of executives, managers, and employees
in a wide number of companies and industries. Her clients
include BEA Systems, IBM, Kraft Foods, MTV Networks, Bertolini,
Inc., and Orange County's United Way.
Application
of her skill and knowledge has been in facilitation, consulting,
curriculum development, and coaching. Susan's training approach
is based on Adult Learning Principles. She has developed
and delivered experiential programs in the areas of group
dynamics, team basics, mentoring, and facilitation skills.
She has worked with global teams and has certified facilitators
around the world to deliver management, leadership, and
team offerings.
Susan
is currently serving on the board of directors of FISH Harbor,
and on the Community Outreach Council for Orange County's
United Way. She is well known as a facilitator of board
retreats and has worked with Irvine Public Schools Foundation,
Irvine Valley College Foundation and United Way, among others.
Susan
is a specialist in instruments, and is certified for SYMLOG,
Herrmann Brain Dominance (HBDI), Element B, and the Myers-Briggs
Type Indicator (MBTI)®. She is on the faculty of Temperament
Research Institute.
Susan
has a B.S. degree in Statistics from California Polytechnic
State University, San Luis Obispo. She is a graduate of
University Associates Human Resources and Organizational
Development Intern program.
