National Association of Purchasing Management
Orange County
Bylaw Vote Notification with Changes
October 28, 2002

Dear NAPM-OC Member,

For the past two years the Administrative Support Committee has been engaged in a process of reviewing our present Bylaws in order to revise and make the necessary changes to meet the conditions of affiliation with ISM. All revisions have been completed.

Our Bylaws require approval by the NAPM-OC Board of Directors, as well as approval by ISM. Approvals have been received from our Board of Directors and the ISM Affiliate Support Council.

Article XIII. Amendments require that the Bylaws may be amended by an affirmative vote of a simple majority of members present and voting at any regular monthly meeting. Therefore, notification is being made to all members. The voting will occur at the November 21, 2002 meeting. Election to accept or reject the proposed Bylaw changes will also be conducted by mail or facsimile ballot.

A second item on the Ballot will be to approve a Regular Retired Member category for James A. Booth, C.P.M., recently retired from Bourns, Inc. This classification is awarded to members with ten (10) years of membership in NAPM-OC/ISM, upon retirement from regular employment in the field of supply management.

Please click here for a copy of the Bylaws as they presently exist, and a copy of the amended Bylaws.

For your convenience, a copy of the Absentee Ballot for both issues is available HERE. All absentee ballots must be signed and arrive at the NAPM-OC office no later than 5:00 p.m. California Daylight savings time on November 20, 2002.

Sara J. Arhlen, C.P.M., Chair
Administrative Support
