Salute to Suppliers

What truly separates successful competitors from the “also rans” in today’s global competitive race is suppliers. Many companies that over the years have thrown “everything” into the battle for competitive advantage are only now coming to admit that their best and strongest resources are their suppliers.

Nowhere is this recognition of the relationship between supplier and excellence and competitive success better realized that in the purchasing office of corporate America. In fact, it is becoming a generally accepted principle that the companies with the best competitive records are usually the ones with the best and brightest suppliers behind them. 1

NAPM-Orange County is giving our members the opportunity to vote for a person or persons at a supplier company that has “gone the extra mile” to service their needs or help them solve a particularly tough problem.

Complete the Application for Supplier of the Year Award and return it to Chuck Ayres, our Executive Secretary. All nominations will be judged by an impartial committee. The winner will be invited to the May 20, 2004 dinner meeting and presented with a plaque designating him or her the “Supplier of The Year”.

The deadline for nominations are March 26, 2004.

You owe it to the Supplier who makes your company look good in the marketplace.
