MISSION STATEMENT CONTEST

The definition of a mission is “sending out or being sent out to perform a special service.” A statement is “a stating or declaration, assertation.”

The board is calling you to participate and create a mission statement that reflects our affiliate and what message we want to send out and state to others.

In September you were asked to give us some things that you wanted from the affiliate as members. You gave us:

  • Networking
  • Professional Development
  • Education
  • Fun
  • Experience
  • Information
  • Creativity
  • Leadership

With these words we are asking you to create a mission statement for the affiliate.

Here is an example:
In an environment of fun, our affiliate will provide education
and networking to members who actively participate in their
professional development and marketing of our affiliate to
the community.

Submissions must be received on or before March 16, 2004.
Only NAPM-OC member’s submissions will be eligible.

The winner will be announced at the Supply Chain Management Month Dinner meeting in March.
Prize: Admission to this year’s Forum, June 5th and a plaque
